Since the Olympics, she has walked the runway at New York Fashion Week.
She threw out the first pitch at a Mets game, wearing Nike sneakers never before seen in public. The Mets commented “Superstar,” on her post about it.
She attended a New York Liberty WNBA game, watched the U.S. Open and appeared at the Forbes Power Women’s Summit, where she spoke about losing her bronze medal. She said it was an identity crisis for her.
Then, when she joined rapper Flavor Flav to present at the MTV Video Music Awards, he surprised her with an amazing bronze clock necklace he had commissioned.
USA Gymnastics posted in support of Chiles after her VMA moment.
Pretty awesome to see a gymnast taking the kind of spotlight we’re accustomed to seeing from players in the big four sports and running with it. And pretty awesome to see the support she is getting wherever she goes.
