Who will join Minnesota? — Sarah Nurse talks Dream Gap Tour — Must-click women's hockey links
(Hi! Howard Megdal here. The IX helps build the necessary infrastructure for women’s sports media. By connecting these worlds, it gives women’s sports the networking boost men’s sports can take for granted.
Those of you who are our satisfied subscribers, tell the world! We are grateful for your support. And you can share the gift of The IX with those who would love us as much as you do.)
Who will join Minnesota?
The Calgary leg of the 2021 Dream Gap Tour is underway and here are the standings through three days:
Team Bauer/Montreal – 7 points
Team Sonnet/Toronto – 6 points
Team Scotiabank/Calgary – 0 points
Needless to say, the region representing the last Clarkson Cup champions has some work to do. Calgary takes on Montreal today at 3:30 pm ET. I’ve been on WNBA duty and sadly haven’t caught a live game. No worries though, if you’re like me you can catch the replays here.
On Saturday, I’ll be tuning in from the Liberty game as Toronto and Calgary square off. The championship game for the Canada region is set to take place Sunday, May 30 at 3:30 pm ET.
Here are the individual leaders through Thursday:
Points – Marie-Philip Poulin (6)
Goals – Brittany Howard, Jamie Lee Rattray. Poulin (3)
Assists – Sarah Nurse, Anne-Sophie Bettaz, Brianne Jenner, Poulin (3)
Bettez suffered an injury last night, no updates on her condition, per Mike Murphy on Twitter.
