Megdal presented some of his reporting from Basketball Wednesday at The IX Sports, which revealed that players were told “ESPN has about two weeks until they’re looking to reconfigure their broadcast windows.”
And although negotiations are ongoing, Powell said she’s seen some positive movement from the Players’ Association in their latest response.
“For the longest time, members of the Players’ Association were very hesitant or shy to discuss any concessions, while the league hasn’t been,” she said. “Maybe publicly, there isn’t a willingness to be a bit calmer about things, but there’s more movement than we’ve had.”
