#10 Indiana, #21 Iowa: The Hawkeyes beat the Hoosiers 88-82. Center Monika Czinano led the Hawkeyes with a season-high-tying 31-points on 13-for-17 FG (5-7 FT) and 10 rebounds for a double-double and two turnovers; point guard Caitlin Clark had 29 points on 9-for-20 from the field, 2-for-9 from three, and 9-for-9 from the line, eight rebounds, and eight assists against seven turnovers and four fouls in 39 minutes; wing McKenna Warnock notched 16 points on 5-for-8 shooting (2-4 3pt.) and seven rebounds against five turnovers.

The Hoosiers were led by point guard Grace Berger’s 22 points on 8-for-20 from the field (0-2 3pt.) and 6-for-7 from the line, four rebounds, three assists, and three steals against three turnovers; combo guard Nicole Cardaño-Hillary had 15 points on 6-for-8 shooting (0-1 3pt.), five rebounds, four assists, and three steals against six turnovers; center Mackenzie Holmes again played only 25 minutes, finishing with 13 points on 5-for-12 FG, four rebounds, and two turnovers while unintentionally fouling out; bench big wing Chloe Moore-McNeil scored 11 points on 3-for-5 from three (1-1 from two) with two rebounds and two assists against four fouls in 18 minutes.

Xavier: Dismissed its top two scorers from the whole dang program. For “a violation of team rules.”

Alabama State: 83-69 win over Bethune-Cookman. Wing Ayana Emmanuel led all scorers Monday with a career-high 41 points on 11-for-15 from the field (2-4 3pt.) and 17-for-20 from the line with two assists and four steals against five turnovers in 42 minutes.

Blown leads

Norfolk State: 51-48 loss to Morgan State. Had a 96.2% win expectancy with an eight-point lead and less than four minutes remaining, then allowed a 12-1 Bear run to close.
