Hayley Moore, who has spent the last two seasons as the general manager of the Boston Pride, is getting a promotion.
Per league sources, the former Boston general manager is leaving her role with the Pride to become the NWHL’s Deputy Commissioner and Director of Player Development – a new position that was just created this year.
Moore will be involved with all four NWHL teams, assisting with hiring, scouting, player development and various league events.
It appears that Moore will be NWHL commissioner Dani Rylan’s right-hand woman, staying involved in all league-related events and activities.
It’s not yet clear who will take Moore’s place as the Pride’s general manager. The Pride recently hired a new coach in Thomas Poeck after Bobby Jay announced he would be leaving his position. And with most of the national team players gone for centralization (and other players going to Switzerland), it looks like the Pride are getting a complete facelift.
Update: The NWHL made an official announcement confirming Moore’s promotion in a press release today. She will remain based in Boston, where she is also the director of the East Coast Wizards, a women’s and girls’ hockey program.
