On the latest episode of Locked On Women’s Basketball, host Howard Megdal talks with Elizabeth Williams about what life has been like as a member of the Chicago Sky, a team that’s been making headlines lately. Williams and Megdal discuss recent events in Chicago, Williams’s role in the WNBA Player’s Association and more.
Megdal opens the show by talking to listeners about the recent events in Chicago regarding the exchange of hateful fan comments, and the WNBA’s ongoing investigation to understand what happened. “It’s so important that the WNBA and all of us, frankly, in this space, do all we can to bring facts to light,” Megdal says.
Later on, Megdal chats with Williams, and asks her to describe what life was like with the Chicago Sky earlier this year, as the team prepared for the 2025 season. “[Head coach] Tyler [Marsh] has been great from the jump,” Williams says. “I think he’s done a good job. First of all, being a great communicator, not only with us, but with the staff. And I think we consistently feel like everybody’s on the same page.”

Towards the end of the episode, Megdal and Williams talk about Williams’s role as a leader on a team with young talent like Angel Reese and Kamilla Cardoso. “I think any vets feel pride in their young players,” Williams says. “I want them to do as well as possible. I want them to feel their best every time they step on the court.”
