On the latest episode of Locked On Women’s Basketball, host Missy Heidrick breaks down every single detail of the 2025 WBB NCAA Tournament bracket. She talks about the selection process, dives into snubs and surprises, previews the four play-in games taking place on March 19 and 20, and more.
Heidrick opens the show by talking about the four top seeds — UCLA, South Carolina, Texas, and Southern California. “It was never a question of whether or not these were going to be the top,” Heidrick says. “It was going to be a matter of where they were positioned.”
Later on, Heidrick moves on from the top seeds and goes down the line, addressing some of the teams to watch that are seeded third and beyond. “One I think will give us a little bit of interest is LSU,” Heidrick says. “And congratulations to the [Oklahoma] Sooners. Their first year in the SEC, and they find themselves in the three seed.”
Heidrick opens the show by talking about the lower seeds and games that she intends to keep an eye on. She points out Michigan State and Harvard as a game to keep one’s eye on. “That is gonna be a tough game,” Heidrick says. “I like Michigan State, even though one of the best players and newcomers in the nation is Harvard’s Harmoni Turner. Keep your eye on her. She’s bound to have a really good day in the NCAA tournament.”
Heidrick closes the show by previewing the play-in games taking place on March 19 and 20. “They’ve got to play an extra [game], and then they have to take on a very difficult opponent in the next round,” Heidrick says. “But the point is, they’re in. The field of 68 is set.”
