Between the red-hot Sirens hosting the defending champions, an upgraded venue game in Toronto, a capital city Takeover Tour contest, and the Fleet heading West for the first time, there’s a whole lot to keep an eye out for. Let’s dive into what this weekend in the PWHL has in store (all times listed in ET).
Friday at 7 pm: Minnesota Frost vs. New York Sirens (Prudential Center, Newark)
We kick things off with a meeting between the two-time defending champion Frost and the two-time last place finishers, the Sirens. But don’t expect a one-sided affair. With a wealth of young talent, the Sirens are beginning to look threatening. Now on a four-game winning streak, they are currently just one point behind Minnesota. The Frost meanwhile come into this one fresh off a big 6-2 win over the Torrent, leading the league in goals with 34.
Saturday at 3 pm: Vancouver Goldeneyes vs. Toronto Sceptres (Scotiabank Arena, Toronto)
On Saturday, the Toronto Sceptres play their annual Scotiabank Arena match, home of the Toronto Maple Leafs and the NBA’s Raptors. This year, they’ll be taking on the Goldeneyes, though still without the injured Sarah Nurse, who will have to wait for her return to Toronto. It will be the first of four meetings between the two teams, who are both currently in the bottom three of the tight league standings. Of note, the Sceptres have never lost at Scotiabank Arena, and the Goldeneyes have just one win on the road this season.

Sunday at 2 pm: Montréal Victoire vs. New York Sirens (Capital One Arena, Washington D.C.)
The Sirens play their second match of the weekend as they take on the Victoire in Washington D.C. for a Takeover Tour game. Montréal shutout New York in an early season contest, but this month the Sirens responded with a 4-3 win over the Victoire. Now, Montréal comes into this contest on a three-game winning streak, while the Sirens will either be hungry for a rebound or riding high depending on the results of Friday’s contest.
Sunday at 10 pm: Boston Fleet vs. Seattle Torrent (Climate Pledge Arena, Seattle)
The weekend wraps up with a late showdown between the Torrent and the Fleet. The rivalry is already bubbling between these two teams, with former Boston AGM turned Seattle GM Meaghan Turner taking Hilary Knight and Hannah Bilka from the Fleet in expansion. Their similar tough makeups have made for some exciting matches already, with Boston taking their first two encounters by a slim margin. Now with Seattle hungry to climb out of the bottom of the league, and Boston looking to stay on top, who will come out ahead?
