Super Bowl LVI is set with the Cincinnati Bengals taking on the Los Angeles Rams. What a great opportunity to breakdown womenโ€™s college basketball based on this monster matchup โ€“ letโ€™s call the run-pass option and see whatโ€™s happening across the country!

The Bengals represent Ohio, as do many talented womenโ€™s basketball teams right now. A host of mid-major programs are focused on staking their claims to post-season bids. Dayton is on a ten-game winning streak, 7-0 in the Atlantic 10 and receiving votes in the Top 25. Toledo is 9-1 in the MAC and Youngstown State is 18-3 overall and 12-2 right now in the Horizon League. Ohio State is 7-3 in the Big Ten, led by junior guard Jacy Sheldon โ€“ the Buckeyes are focused on making this yearโ€™s NCAA Tournament.

The west coast is home to the Rams and the No. 2 Stanford Cardinal (16-3, 7-0 in the Pac 12).ย UCLA, USC and Cal have each had their struggles and need to elevate their games if the post-season is in their sights.ย Do not sleep on Cal Baptist in the WAC and Long Beach State in the Big West; both quality mid-major teams are playing well.

It will be an all-SEC quarterback battle in Super Bowl LVI โ€“ Matthew Stafford of the Rams (Georgia) and the Bengalsโ€™ Joe Burrow (LSU). These two top 15 womenโ€™s basketball teams will square off in a big test on Feb. 10 โ€“ a game of bragging rights before the Super Bowl.

Coaches are the masterminds at every level of sport and this yearโ€™s big game will showcase two of the youngest but most talented football minds in the NFL. Rams head coach Sean McVey went to Miami (OH) and Cincinnatiโ€™s Zach Taylor went to Nebraska. So who will you be cheering for on Feb. 13?
