Big Kylee Watson scored 21 points on 10-for-11 shooting with seven rebounds, two assists, three steals, and two blocks in 21 minutes; off-ball guard Sydney Parrish notched a 21-point, 11-rebound double-double on 8-for-14 FG (3-5 3pt.) with four offensive rebounds, six assists, and three steals against four turnovers; wing Maddie Scherr, playing point, went scoreless without taking a shot, but finished with eight assists and two steals against three turnovers in 21 minutes; point guard Ahlise Hurst tallied 18 points on 6-for-8 from three with six assists and two steals without a turnovers; center Phillipina Kyei had a 12-point, 13-rebound double-double on 5-for-10 FG with eight offensive rebounds, two assists, two steals, and three blocks against four fouls in 18 bench minutes.
Wake Forest: 90-58 win over East Tennessee State. Bigs Olivia Summiel, Niyah Becker, and Christina Morrow, off-ball guard Alexandria Scruggs, and combo guard Kaia Harrison did not play, for some reason. Shot 47.8% from the field and 48.1% from the three on 27 attempts form deep. Combo guard Jewel Spear scored a career-high 40 points on 14-for-25 from the field and 10-for-17 from three with three assists against two turnovers in 35 minutes; center Malaya Cowles — the No. 250 freshman in the country, per ASGR — made the first start of her career and first 15+-minute game of her career, finishing with 20 points on a perfect 9-for-9 shooting (1-1 3pt.) with 11 rebounds (seven offensive) for a double-double, plus two steals against two turnovers and four fouls in 31 minutes — all career-highs except for turnovers; wing Raegyn Conley — the consensus^ No. 107 freshman in the country — scored 14 points on 4-for-9 FG (2-3 3pt.) with four rebounds, two assists, and two turnovers in 28 minutes — career-highs in each.
