Middle Tennessee State may be losing two players from its roster, days after losing 87-62 to Tennessee in the first round of the NCAA tournament. Sisters Anastasia Hayes and Aislynn Hayes have entered the transfer portal, a source familiar with the portal has confirmed. Once a student-athlete enters the transfer portal she can be contacted by other schools and/or reach out to schools she may be interested in attending.
During the 2020-21 season, Anastasia Hayes was second in the nation in scoring at 26.5 points per game in addition to 5.1 assists and 2.8 steals per game. Sister Aislynn contributed 14.0 points and 6.2 rebounds per game. Middle Tennessee finished the season at 17-8 and won both the regular season and conference tournament titles in Conference USA.
Anastasia Hayes started her college career at Tennessee and was dismissed from the Volunteers program in 2018. The sisters join their younger sister, Alasia Hayes, who entered the transfer portal after playing her freshman season with the Notre Dame Fighting Irish.
