Itโ€™s time for another episode of theย Locked on Womenโ€™s Basketballย podcast.ย  In this episode, Howard Megdal and Jackie Powell come to you live from inside Mohegan Sun Arena right after Game 3 of the WNBA Finals went to the Connecticut Sun, 105-76. As usual, the two have talked to everyone from Curt Miller and Becky Hammon, the Finals coaches, to Alyssa “Triple-Double”

During the episode, Howard discusses the many ways that Alyssa Thomas contributes to her team while on the floor:

Alyssa Thomas had a triple double tonight … from my perspective, AT is someone who operates with brute force so much of the time, but there is, when she is at her best, there is a finesse to it, there is a touch to it. So she’s going into the lane strong, but she’s not overwhelming people. And she’s figuring out where to stop, where to find her spot. She’s dishing to her teammates, but she’s making fewer mistakes when she’s doing it. That was what was happening tonight, double digit assists, but only three turnovers.

With a Connecticut win last night, Vegas holds a 2-1 series lead in the Finals. The two teams will square off once more in Connecticut this Sunday, Sept. 18 at 4 p.m. E.T.
