Along with the playoff season, it’s also award season in the NWHL!
In the past the league has awarded seven end-of-season awards: Goaltender of the Year, Defender of the Year, Rookie of the Year, Most Valuable Player, Denna Laing Award, Foundation Award, and a fan voted Three Stars of the Season.
This year, the Rookie of the Year was renamed to the Newcomer of the Year.
Four of the awards — Goaltender, Defender, Newcomer, and MVP — were voted on by a panel of 20 media members and broadcasters in cooperation with the Women’s Hockey Media Association.
