Ottawa lost 2-0 to Montréal in a physical showdown. Laura Stacey scored with a slap shot in tight that beat Emerance Maschmeyer clean in the second period. Ottawa had a goal disallowed for goaltender interference in the third, and Montréal scored late in the game to cement the win.
Ottawa still has two more games to try and clinch their playoff spot. Montréal is fighting for first place.
PWHL Ottawa and Montréal battled in Ottawa’s last home game of the season.
Montréal took the lead, but Ottawa scored an electric goal to tie the game. After the on-ice and rinkside celebrations, the goal was called off.
Play was tough and physical. Montréal scored again to win the game 2-0.
