Reid’s back with another summer edition of Frost Bites! In today’s episode, Reid is joined by Minnesota Frost forward Élizabeth Giguère.
Giguère had a record-setting college career. She scored 295 points in 177 collegiate games. Giguère won a national title with Clarkson University in 2018 and the Patty Kazmaier Award in 2020. In this episode of Frost Bites, Élizabeth talks about her on-ice success in college. She also talks about the off-ice transition she was going through at this time, including learning English and getting accustomed to life in a brand new country.
Later in the episode, Élizabeth also talked about her transition to professional hockey. Giguère joined the Frost last season after spending her first two PWHL seasons in New York. Last season, Giguère appeared in 13 games and tallied one assist for Minnesota. In the episode, she talks about joining the Minnesota Frost, how a call from captain Kendall Coyne Schofield helped ease her transition, and what she’s looking forward to next season.
