At long last, the PWHL has unveiled several details about the 2026-2027 season schedule. The league announced its opening weekend on December 5 and 6, with all 12 teams in action. Home opener dates for each team were also unveiled.
The full schedule will be released this Friday, October 2.
Opening weekend will feature the following games:
Saturday, December 5
- Seattle Torrent at Vancouver Goldeneyes, 3 PM ET
- Minnesota Frost at PWHL San Jose, 7 PM ET
- PWHL Hamilton at Montréal Victoire, 7 PM ET
Sunday, December 6
- Toronto Sceptres at Ottawa Charge, 2 PM ET
- Boston Fleet at New York Sirens, 3 PM ET
- PWHL Detroit at PWHL Las Vegas, 8 PM ET
Hockey Night in Canada Returns
In addition, CBC/Radio-Canada announced that eight primetime games will air on the revamped “Hockey Night in Canada” over the course of the season.
Each game will feature at least one Canadian-based team. Hockey Night in Canada will debut during opening weekend with the Hamilton/Montréal game.
In the United States, Saturday’s game between PWHL San Jose and Minnesota will air on ION as the first Saturday Game of the Week. The league previously announced its partnership with Scripps Sports.
Home Opener Dates Announced
In addition to the aforementioned games, the league announced home openers for the other six teams:
- Toronto Sceptres: Tuesday, Dec. 8 at 7 PM ET (vs. PWHL Hamilton)
- Boston Fleet: Wednesday, Dec. 9 at 7 PM ET (vs. Ottawa Charge)
- PWHL Detroit: Saturday, Dec. 12 at 12 PM ET (vs. New York Sirens)
- PWHL Hamilton: Sunday, Dec. 13 at 2 PM ET (vs. Ottawa Charge)
- Minnesota Frost: Sunday, Dec. 13 at 2 PM ET (vs. Seattle Torrent)
- Seattle Torrent: Sunday, Dec. 20 at 7 PM ET (vs. PWHL Las Vegas)
Tickets for all 12 home-opener games go on sale Monday, Sept. 28 at 11 AM ET. Additional information, including national broadcast details, will be announced October 2 along with the full schedule release.
